Data Warehouse / Teradata Architect

Hybrid

12-15+ Months Contract

Required Experience:

10+ years of experience into Teradata, ETL
Strong experience in Teradata SQL, joins, indexes, and explain plans.
Hands-on experience with Teradata utilities (FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT, BTEQ).
ETL/ELT processes and data migration strategies
Knowledge of ETL tools (Informatica, DataStage, or similar).
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and BI tools.
Proficiency in performance tuning and query optimisation.
Good understanding of Unix/Linux scripting.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Proficiency in Teradata tools and utilities TPT BTEQ FastLoad MultiLoad
Experience Teradata database, Teradata backup & recovery
Performance tuning and resource optimization
Experience with upgrades, provisioning, software maintenance, scripting – BASH, Perl, Python, Glink
Hands on with Teradata ecosystem health monitoring, Teradata node management, Teradata Viewpoint administration, PSIM (Platform Service Intelligent Monitoring) administration, Teradata vendor upgrades, Teradata workload management, Unix/Linux knowledge, Cloud computing fundamentals, resource allocation, networking, preferably MS Azure

Responsibilities:

Lead the design and architecture of enterprise data warehouse solutions using Teradata
Design and develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and macros in Teradata.
Implement ETL workflows using tools like Informatica, BTEQ, or Teradata utilities (FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT).
Optimise queries and manage performance tuning for large-scale data environments.
Collaborate with data architects and business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Perform data validation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
Develop reusable Python scripts for automation data transformation and validation
